Exclusive Interview with Global Hedge Fund Company (China Perspective - Series 5) - Fortune Asset Management Limited
Simon Hopkins, CEO and co-founder of Fortune Asset Management Limited: We define an institutional quality hedge fund as a fund that exhibits most and preferably all of the nine characteristics
Simon:
I strongly believe that managed accounts will prove the strongest growth area for hedge fund investing over the next decade as they provide all the answers to these problems as well as being far safer, as custody of the assets remain with the investor.

Simon:
We believe that distressed strategy will provide a once in a lifetime investment opportunity but timing is key. Some levered loans and financial stocks have already bounced by 50 percent plus.
Simon:
Emerging markets including China and India have a tendency to overshoot. They will be very volatile with many problems creating set backs to the long term growth trajectory.
Simon: We are seeking to acquire a business in Hong Kong to give us increased Asian focus. We see China as big buyers of global portfolios in the future.
